Singapore, Day 2: SHOPPING + EATING + CHINATOWN

As planned, we went to the new shopping center, VIVO CITY today. It is located across from SENTOSA, a popular island resort visited by both locals and tourists. Our two little nephews went and it was a blast:

They are both huge Thomas fans

Here I am at the popular American store FOREVER 21, listening in and watching on some sort of fashion workshop

Sentosa

It wasn't only the kids who enjoyed the toy store

When we weren't shopping, we were eating:

Laksa #2, twice the price from yesterday, but so good.

Chicken Satay sticks from Chinatown

Can you believe I had THREE deserts at different times?
My 2nd ICE KACHANG of the trip (FOOD REPUBLIC @ Vivo City)

This one is called CHENDOL

Unlike in Thailand, Mexico and Turkey, these are not knockoffs, but just simply cheap watches

Being teachers, we stocked up on lots of these stickers. We got 20 sheets!

It's 1AM here. In less than an hour, the wife's parents will be arriving from Vancouver. They should be craving some serious Singaporean food, so I will definitely have more photos up again this time tomorrow!
